She moved to North Carolina after graduating from Keiser University with her Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2014. She is a certified provider of Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention Protocol and she has also completed advanced training, earning national certifications to implement other less conventional treatment modalities in support of optimizing successful patient outcomes utilizing a strength based approach. Some of these interventions include, but are not limited to, horticultural therapy, aquatic therapy, animal assisted and equine assisted interventions. Most recently, Marie has also returned to school to pursue her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. In her spare time, she uses her skills to volunteer within her community, re-purposing furniture, participating in arts and crafts activities, spending time outdoors with her family (her fiancé, 2 kids, 3 therapy dogs) and exploring new places.
